Description:
Remedy SAS is a Strasbourg-based deeptech startup founded in 2024 to commercialise a revolutionary technology for the sustainable separation of rare earths. Its patented magneto-electrochemical process enables the extraction and purification of critical magnetic rare earths without toxic solvents. Focused on recycling and mining applications, Remedy aims to strengthen Europe's strategic autonomy in critical materials essential to clean energy technologies.
At the origin of the project
The REMEDY technology is the result of 10 years of collaborative research into magnetic forces and liquids by a trio of Franco-Irish scientists, co-inventors and co-founders of the REMEDY start-up:
- Dr. Peter DUNNE, CEO of REMEDY and former researcher at IPCMS
- Pr Bernard DOUDIN, Professor at the IPCMS (UMR 7504 CNRS - University of Strasbourg)
- Prof. Michael COEY, world-renowned specialist in magnetism and Emeritus Professor at Trinity College Dublin
