BALISTIQUE
New resins to optimize ballistic protection for vehicles and people
Project description
This project aims to develop new resins to improve ballistic protection for vehicles and people.
Under the action of light, the resin hardens very quickly on an aramid fabric (Kevlar® type) and forms a protective material against bullets and chips.
The new material developed is free of highly emitting VOC resins and thus protects the health of future users. This new technology is particularly suitable for armoured vehicles, which are subjected to high temperatures in various theatres of operation and where personnel work in confined spaces. It also has the advantage of inducing a low investment in equipment and operating costs.
Why does Conectus invest in this project?
Conectus' financial investment will make it possible to:
- determine the total technical benefit of the technology (versatility, material and weight savings, etc.)
- demonstrate compliance with production and use constraints
- offer an accurate costing of the solution
At the origin of the project:
