  • The Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and its subsidiaries constitute a public group and a long term investor working in the public interest and for the economic development of the regions.

  • The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique is a public research body (A public institution of a scientific and technological nature, under the responsibility of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research). The Alsatian delegation comprises 40 research units.

  • The École nationale du génie de l'eau et de l'environnement de Strasbourg is a higher education institution attached to the Université de Strasbourg.

     

  • INSA Group, the leading French group in engineering training, was created in 2012. It brings together the five National Institutes of Applied Sciences (Lyon, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg, Toulouse)

  • The French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) is a public scientific and technological institute which operates under the joint authority of the French Ministry of Health and French Ministry of Research. There are 8 research units of the Inserm in Alsace region.

  • Based in Mulhouse and Colmar, research at the Université de Haute Alsace is organised around three key subject areas: Material Physics and Chemistry - Engineering Sciences - Human and Social Sciences

  • Created on the 1st January 2009, the Université de Strasbourg was formed from the amalgamation of three former universities: Louis Pasteur, Marc Bloch and Robert Schuman. This university boasts 76 research units covering all subject areas.
