How to offer innovative metallic graphic coating
Project description
This project involves the development of a photopolymerizable metal coating with conductive and mirror properties. These properties are possible thanks to 2 layers automatically created by photopolymerization in a single step:
- the first: aggregated nanoparticles that form a metallic mirror film on the surface
- the second: a composite with mixed nano-particles
The formulation of this coating is green: solvent free and without added metallic nanoparticles unlike current conductive inks.
Currently being tested with silver on different substrates, the intended application is for graphic coatings and inks.
Why does Conectus invest in this project?
Conectus' financial investment will make it possible to:
- validate the properties of the coating with a demonstration
- optimize the formulation
- test reliability (shocks, temperatures...)
- study costs and safety with regard to REACH
At the origin of the project:
Lavinia Balan of the Institute of Materials Science of Muhouse (CNRS-UHA)
